The anticipated starting salary range for Cleveland, O.H. based individuals expressing interest in this position is $15.00/Hr. - $15.00/Hr. 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

• 10 weeks approx 20 hours per week

Overview: 

• WKRK 92.3 The Fan, the home of the Cleveland Browns and the city’s sports authority, is seeking a passionate, tech-savvy intern. This isn't a "get the coffee" role—you will be in the trenches of a major-market sports station. You will learn the architecture of live sports radio while executing a modern digital strategy that involves video production, social storytelling, and sports journalism.

What You'll Do:

• During this 10-week program, you will rotate through the following aspects of Live and local sports radio

Live Radio Production

• Show Prep: Assist producers in researching daily topics, pulling audio clips (sound bites), and scouting guest ideas.
• Board Operations: Shadow board operators to learn how to manage live levels, trigger imaging, and ensure FCC compliance.

Digital Content & Video

• Video Capture: Use in-studio cameras to record shows and pull viral moments from live broadcasts.
• Editing: Edit raw video into short-form content for station social channels.
• Audio Distribution: Learn to clip, title, and upload show segments for YouTube, 923TheFan.com, and podcasts for the Audacy app.

Sports Writing

• Digital Reporting: Write SEO-friendly articles summarizing breaking Cleveland sports news or major guest interviews for 923thefan.com.
• Live Coverage: Assist in managing real-time social media updates during Cleveland sports events and breaking news cycles.

More About You:

Required & Preferred:

• At least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the U.S. 
• Resident of Ohio and/or enrolled at an accredited post-secondary school in Ohio.

• Interning at the station for the first time.
