Audacy Wichita is looking for an inspirational leader to lead the Audacy Wichita Team. In this role, you are the market lead setting culture, revenue goals and expectations, working closely with clients and driving  Wichita’s performance.  You will collaborate with the Kansas Region leadership team, scale ideas to benefit clients and partners for Wichita.   You will be part of the leadership team of Audacy—a premier, multi-platform entertainment leader featuring the nation’s top radio group. We continue to define the industry across broadcasting, digital audio, and live events.

The salary range for this position based on experience is from  $120,000 - $140,000 plus bonus potential based on achieving revenue goals

Responsibilities

The DOS will help influence the revenue growth of our highly influential radio, sports and digital assets by increasing existing business and converting new business. You will also be responsible for our over the air sales, podcast, streaming, digital, social, events and OTT assets and goals assigned  

What You'll Do:

  • You must be a sales leader and have the skill and drive to motivate in today’s changing  environment, inspire a sales team to success and contribute innovative ideas to generate revenue
  • Coach and lead the sales team to success by providing support and removing the obstacles 
  • Responsible for exceeding revenue objectives by impacting people (account executives and clients.) 
  • Hold sales team accountable to all priorities, managing through internal direct reporting relationships and peer groups to drive results
  • Develop, refine, and maintain discipline on a focused overall sales strategy, with specific measurable tactics and actions that generate sales & revenue 
  • Ability to lead and train sales team in evolving media trends- including but not limited to - digital audio, attribution, data, digital
  • Develop and grow relationships with clients through both individual and joint meetings with Account Executives, and develop a deep understanding of their needs in the marketplace 
  • Leverage our data, scale and resources to guide sound management and operational decision-making across the sales organization
  • Create sales (audio, digital, experiential, etc.) opportunities that align with client needs and demand
  • Monitor competition and trends in the market
  • Strong coach. Must know how to motivate in today’s changing environment
  • Ability to manage inventory; experience with budgeting and pricing
  • Creative mind, have the ability to strategize and come up with fresh, unique ways to grow revenue

Qualifications

Qualifications-  Required & Preferred:

  • You must be a proven sales leader and have the skill and drive to Inspire in today’s changing environment, motivating a sales team to success and contribute innovative ideas to generate revenue 
  • You have a history of effectively leading a sales organization, recruit, retain and train your team  
  • You must be goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  

Additional Requirements:

  • 5+ years Manager experience in media, preferably sports, audio and/or digital
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, including the ability to develop talent and build a high-performance culture across the organization
  • Data and results driven leader with a proven track record of leading a successful sales team through change and innovation
  • Strong background in strategic account management, sales training/leadership, pricing and budgeting required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and organizational skills; high proficiency in Google Suite  tools
  • Experience effectively utilizing Salesforce to manage accounts and project growth opportunities
  • Exceptional Presentation and Negotiation Skills and  
  • BS/BA Degree Preferred
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
