Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range: $40,000.00/YR.-$60,000.00/YR.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Overview:

Audacy is looking for a dedicated, hard-working, and creative mind that will help take one of the region’s top stations to new heights. The ideal candidate has a keen eye and ear for content, ideating and crafting on-air topics and angles, overseeing video and social media content, booking guests, and running the sound board . You will work closely with air talent to create content that is fun, engaging, and pertinent to the market.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

It’s all about content - you will  help create compelling content both over the air and for our digital assets, as well as build the show’s social and digital branding. You will aid the show hosts with topic development and provide necessary support to advance topics. The candidate will also have an on-air role, write hourly sports updates, maintain the show’s social media presence, screen phone calls, manage the show’s video streaming platform, and cut up audio pertinent to the show’s needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with show hosts, commercial production and sales and digital staff
  • Manage daily expectations of on-air host and programming strategy
  • Generate show topics that drive conversations and listenership
  • Cultivate relationships with local teams, PR staff and executives
  • Aid in guest booking
  • Use video to help promote show content
  • Produce live sporting events, including Maryland Basketball and Football games
  • Oversee live broadcasts

Required & Preferred:

 

  • Candidate must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to maintain composure in fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Technical savvy to handle phone calls, manage a video streaming service, and execute live broadcasts
  • Proficient in Adobe Audition and vMix video streaming software
  • Digital audio and video editing skills 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, most importantly X, Facebook, and Instagram
  • At least two years of radio producing experience and board-operating experience is required
  • Must be able to work weekends, mornings, and nights
  • Have a great attitude and collaborate well with others
  • Knowledge of Baltimore area sports, in addition to national stories and events
