Job Description:

Want to get your foot in the door with the BEST in Memphis Sports? 92.9 FM ESPN (WMFS) & WMC-AM 790 AM The Bet, Audacy-Memphis Sports, has an opening for a part time Board Operator.  This is on an as needed/on-call basis. You’ll be working with our experienced On-Air Sports and Program management team, running an audio board, cutting promos, working on content pieces, and interacting live on-air talking Sports with the biggest sports personalities in Memphis. 

 

Audacy Memphis is looking for an individual with some broadcasting experience, knowledge of audio board, WideOrbit, Adobe Audition and general sports knowledge to fill our part-time board operator position. Must be a team role player.

 

 

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

  • Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs
  • Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
  • May be required to perform light production work
  • Other duties as required by management as well as following training modules
  • Keeping up with biggest sports stories and a reasonable depth of knowledge on Memphis sports

Qualifications

 

Required & Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experienced preferred
  • Familiarity with station format required.
  • Must be able to perform with little supervision
  • Familiarity with FCC rules and regulations preferred. 
  • High school diploma required; college degree in media-related major preferred. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers and push buttons.
