Overview:

Austin’s Mix 94.7 (KAMX-FM) is looking for the next great talent to join Booker and Alex, the morning show named “Best Radio Personality in Austin” — seven times!

We’re searching for someone who’s smart, curious, funny, fearless, and authentic — someone who connects with listeners naturally both on-air and online.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
  • Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
  • Protect the station’s FCC license
  • Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
  • Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
  • Operate the control board and perform production work
  • Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
  • Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong conversationalist and storyteller
  • Listens as well as they talk
  • Comes to work prepared, organized, and full of ideas
  • Shares their life in relatable, entertaining ways
  • Has excellent social media instincts and can create content that connects
  • Has creative writing and video production skills (big plus!)
  • We’re looking for a team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, competitive environment and is driven to make great radio and digital content every day.
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.

 

Preferred:

  • Previous on-air experience is not required — but a passion for pop culture, entertainment, and building audience connection absolutely is.
