Overview:

WUSY-FM (US-101) is looking for a new team mate! The highly decorated US-101 is searching for a morning show co-host Monday-Friday 5-10A. Applicants must be energetic, hardworking, relatable to the audience, and able to adapt on the fly. Understanding the Country format, lifestyle, content creation and that you are part of a team are paramount.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • On-Air Hosting: Perform and execute content driven show with an established co-host. Creating and delivering original content on-air and over social media while cultivating an engaging environment with listeners and co-workers alike. 
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the development and planning of show content, including selecting topics, conducting research, and collaborating with a co-host and in planning and execution.
  • Interactive Engagement: audience engagement through phone calls, emails, social media, and other interactive channels, encouraging listener participation and feedback. Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality, station and show presence.
  • Promotions and Advertisements: Promote station-sponsored events, contests, and advertisements as directed by the station's management. Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly. Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Brand Manager co-host and other employees on developing unique content for show. Work closely with the team to ensure seamless show production and adherence to laws, regulations and station policies.
  • Research and Preparation: Stay up-to-date with current events, trends, and industry news to inform show content and discussions.

Required & Preferred:

  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism on and off the air, representing the station positively in public appearances and interactions.
  • One year of previous radio experience in Top 40, Hot AC, or Country formats is preferred.
  • Some experience assembling content using digital audio/video editing platforms is required, along with expertise in social media and a firm grasp of current events and societal trends as it pertains the station’s target audience.
  • Team player: The ability to collaborate and work well with others.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, station policies, and industry standards for broadcasting.
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for prolonged periods, with reasonable accommodations provided as necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds, such as office equipment, documents, and presentation materials.
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond effectively to stakeholders, manage presentations, and participate in meetings.
