Overview:

WSSP is looking for a talentent Sports Talk Show Host 

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Perform live broadcasts that are entertaining, compelling and informative
  • Communicate with co-host, producer and Brand Manager to ensure program goals are met
  • Interact with the audience on-air and via social media. Strong social media skills are paramount
  • Maintain strong contacts and relationships with local sports brands and across the sports industry
  • Create content for website and social media channels
  • Prepare and research for broadcasts
  • Protect brand with FCC license
  • Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
  • Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
  • Other duties as required by management.
  • Entertainment value with content creation
  • Sales coordination with clients

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • Synergy with co-host and ability to work on multi-host sports show
  • Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills
  • Knowledge of the format and audience required
  • A demonstrated track record on air or through digital and social media
  • Knowledgeable of FCC guidelines
  • Major Market on air experience;
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays as this job may require it
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
