Overview

Audacy’s central marketing team is in search of an experienced and dynamic research professional to serve as SVP, Sales Research & Insights, reporting to our Chief Marketing Officer, with a dotted line to our Chief Revenue Officer. The role is responsible for developing studies, detailed perspective pieces and fast-turn insights to fuel our sales initiatives. The role requires a nimble strategist who can create bespoke content that: Helps position and differentiate Audacy; Enhances the quality of our pitch content; and, Brings clients trusted insights about Audacy and the audio industry they can not get elsewhere. The ideal candidate will be a natural storyteller, a dynamic communicator and presenter, and a leader who can manage a team of researchers and be an active contributing member of Audacy’s revenue driving machine.

Responsibilities

 What You'll Do:

  • Lead Audacy’s Sales Research & Insights team
  • Develop a research/content calendar aligned to our Sales and Marketing initiatives
  • Actively contribute to national/local pitches with insights and bespoke research
  • Develop trusted client and agency relationships
  • Be driven by revenue growth objectives
  • Lead a team of data analysts to provide insights about Audacy, our markets and our brands
  • Build thought leadership for brand Audacy
  • Represent Audacy at media, audio trade and business events - speaking/networking 
  • Support executive leadership requests
  • Represent Audacy as a peer, working with other industry research leads on projects

 

Qualifications

  

More About You:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, credentialed in research
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in research roles within the media industry
  • Proven experience managing teams and serving as a company leader
  • Proven relationships in the media industry and gravitas in the research community
  • Dynamic presentation and storytelling skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills
  • Resourceful, proactive, and highly reliable multitasker committed to our business
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to create stories, headlines and pitches from data
  • Deep knowledge of all modern research tools and resources
  • Experience with all modern research tools and sources of materials
  • Willing to travel
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.

 

 

Additional Information

The anticipated starting salary range for New York based individuals expressing interest in this position is $225,000-$250,000.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
