Overview

Audacy is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, and passionate Platform Engineer. You will be working with a team of like-minded engineers to design, develop and implement cutting-edge consumer desktop, web, and mobile applications. We are building an infrastructure platform, and the Platform Engineering team is responsible for designing and writing Infrastructure-as-Code and nurturing a DevOps culture by providing tools and training for development teams. This role will be key in building cloud-based, fault tolerant, highly available, high performing applications that provide a seamless experience to our development teams and our end users.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

  • Identify and implement automation strategies in the SDLC process that enables high quality and fast delivery of new solutions to our business users.
  • Participate in vendor software evaluations and integration strategies.
  • Champion our CI/CD agile practices across all of the development teams.
  • Create and maintain functional / technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
  • Develop infrastructure as code to meet the needs of our platforms.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support of applications and infrastructure to users including issue resolution.
  • Monitor system and application performance and troubleshoot/ resolve escalated issues.
  • Be part of a high-performing Agile / Continuous Integration engineering practice.
  • Continually seek ways to optimize and improve all operational aspects of our technical solutions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in software engineering, design, implementation and support
  • Deep automation experience – build, test, deployment automation, post release surveillance and monitoring.
  • Must have hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudFront, Route53, S3, etc.
  • Must have hands-on experience with AWS security and networking: VPCs, Security Groups, IAM, role management, VPC peering, Transit Gateway, etc.
  • Must have hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production
  • Must have hands-on experience with a CI/CD system – Gitlab, Jenkins, Github Actions, Bitbucket pipelines, etc.
  • Must have experience writing Infrastructure as Code in Terraform
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like Datadog, ELK, or Splunk
  • Experience in high-level languages: Python, Javascript, VCL, bash, etc.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application performance, connectivity, and security issues
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of engineering cloud based solutions that are fault tolerant and highly performant, in support of business critical applications
