The Audacy Enterprise Data team is looking for the right person to join us. At Audacy, you’ll contribute to our growing enterprise data team, platforms, infrastructure, insights, architecture, and governance. 

We are seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Sr. Technical Product Manager, to join our data product team focusing on data product creation and driving the development and enhancement of our data business solutions, platforms, and infrastructure products.

Summary:

The Sr. Technical Product Manager is responsible for managing the development and execution of the company's data products with a focus on platform, infrastructure, and governance data product strategy, planning, and execution. You will also be developing a product backlog and participating in quarterly planning for business solutions data products. This includes working with your data product leadership and stakeholders to define the domain’s data product strategy. You will collaborate to ensure value capture for best-in-class data products that map to the broader enterprise data strategy of building once to benefit many. This position will actively engage with  a data engineering team focused on building and managing the data platform, infrastructure, data products, and governance products. The Sr. Technical Product Manager will also be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is used effectively across the organization in close partnership with data engineering, data science, and strategic insights teams.

 

Location: Open to both hybrid & remote. If hired near Denver, New York, or Philadelphia hybrid will be required.

Lead Data Product Strategy & Development

  • Define data products with leadership alignment across business solutions, platforms, infrastructure, architecture, and governance teams.
  • Oversee end-to-end product development, from ideation, through development, to launch and optimization, ensuring data quality is always trusted.
  • Optimize and maintain a strategic product roadmap for data platforms and infrastructure, prioritizing features and enhancements based on stakeholder needs, including software engineering, direct-to-consumer, and revenue advertising teams.
  • Manage data lifecycle (collection, storage, quality, analysis) for all domains.
  • Ensure data governance, security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Stay current on data technologies and trends.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Drive Collaboration & Product Performance

  • Build a collaborative and cross-functional team environment that values diverse perspectives and ideas.
  • Gather internal stakeholder feedback to inform product improvements while heavily leaning into high value and prioritization.
  • Partner with stakeholders - leadership, engineering, data science, business - to gather requirements and align with goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data are used effectively across the organization with the focus on one product to many use cases.
  • Create and maintain the data business solutions, platform and infrastructure roadmap.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and cost of data products.

Manage Resources & Communication

  • Ensure your leadership and stakeholders are aligned to priorities and resourcing needs through regular quarterly planning and continuous planning cycles.
  • Effectively communicate plans, updates, and metrics to internal and external stakeholders including objectives and key results (OKRs) progress.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to integrate technology solutions and tools.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with a Masters degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data product management, with a focus on platforms, infrastructure, and governance preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performance data products from ideation to successful launch and maintenance
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines, with experience in Snowflake, AWS, Google Big Query, Airflow preferred
  • 2+ years experience with data governance and security preferred
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep knowledge of data technologies, tools, and best practices

Additional Information

The anticipated starting salary range for New York or Denver-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $140,000-$165,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
