Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Servant leader who puts the team first to unblock, train, motivate, and create a positive team culture.
  • Management of our React Native Audacy and Creator mobile applications.
  • Grow your technical and people mentorship by leading a team of 5+ mobile engineers.
  • Identify areas of improvement and look to always better our team.
  • Ability to break technical concepts down and share with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assess daily and weekly team objectives and monitor output.
  • Identify team bottlenecks in any area and work with the respective stakeholders to solve them.
  • Partner with all teams and create clear lines of communication.
  • Lead architecture and development decisions for our features.
  • Participate in tech spikes and feasibility studies to help flesh out new ideas and unknowns.
  • Acquire new skills, broaden existing skills, and contribute to others through knowledge sharing and retrospectives – we are better together!

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals including data structures, OOP, time complexity analysis, and code refactoring/reusability.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer.
  • 2+ years experience as a tech lead mentoring other team members or as an engineering manager.
  • 2+ years experience in agile software project management.
  • Understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies: React, React Native, Typescript, and Javascript.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Git source control.

 

Nice to haves:

  • Prior experience in unit testing and/or test-driven development.
  • Familiarity with native iOS and Android development.
  • Experience with various store submission processes.
  • Experience with app code signing.
  • Experience with audio streaming standards such as HLS.
  • Understanding of in-app advertising & analytics.

Additional Information

Pay Transparency: 

 

The anticipated starting salary range for Denver, Philadelphia, or Vancouver, WA or remote based individuals expressing interest in this position is $150,000-$165,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
