Overview

Audacy’s WTIC NewsTalk 1080 is looking for fill in talk show hosts. Candidates must be able to keep listeners entertained and up-to-date with conversation on general topics/issues, politics, local and national news. We are looking for a host that can intelligently communicate their opinion, can relate to the audience, knows how to use humor and wants listeners to participate in the show via calls.  The target audience is Men 25-54 who are educated, information seekers.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
  • Protect the station’s FCC license
  • Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
  • Operate the control board and perform production work
  • Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

 

  • Past radio experience required.
  • A Valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.
