Overview

Audacy is seeking an Integration Solutions Engineer looking forward to solving complex problems in a quickly-evolving industry to work on the Ad Tech Architecture and Integration team. Our team partners with engineering and business teams at Audacy, and 3rd party platform and service providers to design and deliver technical solutions focused on strategic ad product enablement and revenue optimization. We are searching for an engineer with a passion for learning, critical thinking, collaborative work and creative solutioning.  As a contributor on our team, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of software engineering toolsets and disciplines, as well as, partner with stakeholders across Audacy. This dynamic role will be highly influential in the success of multiple simultaneous initiatives at any given time.

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $140,000-180,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. This position can be located remotely or at one of Audacy’s  offices in Denver, New York City, Philadelphia,  or Vancouver, WA.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop reliable, cost efficient enterprise and third party system integrations in the ad tech space that adhere to a high standard of operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other teams across Audacy to support successful integration-dependent feature implementations in a multi-platform environment.
  • Work with senior architects to define scalable, repeatable, and secure system integration strategies and methods.
  • Evaluate existing integration solutions against best practices and suggest improvements.
  • Communicate project status including appropriate escalation of risks and roadblocks.
  • Produce design and implementation documentation for consumption across Aduacy’s engineering teams and disciplines.
  • Troubleshoot and identify the root causes of data delays and inaccuracies.
  • Create monitoring jobs and health checks to proactively ensure data quality.
  • Suggest and execute testing strategies for integration implementations.
  • Learn and master a variety of backend software engineering toolsets.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

Required

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of enterprise software engineering or related experience.
  • Proficient in at least one dynamically typed interpreted language such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Professional experience designing, implementing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Professional experience designing, implementing and maintaining ETL processes.
  • Fundamental understanding of a variety of other modern integration mechanisms including GraphQL APIs, API gateways, message queueing, data streams, ELT, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of microservice and event-driven design patterns.
  • Familiarity with deploying and maintaining cloud hosted solutions, preferably on AWS.
  • Proficient modeling and querying relational and star or snowflake database schemas.
  • Experience managing code releases using a Git workflow and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Comfortable creating high quality technical documentation.
  • Experience with Agile Development.
  • Be excited to continuously learn new skills and willing to dive deep, becoming a technical expert on a variety of tools and technologies.
  • A self-starter, comfortable navigating complex projects and assignments, across various platforms and teams.
  • Able to self-organize to progress through multiple, competing tasks, and pivot focus when required.
  • Comfortable working on a geographically distributed team.

Preferred

  • Experience in the radio broadcast, streaming, or ad tech industry is a plus.
  • Professional experience designing a workflow or process orchestration, for example AWS Step Functions, AWS Glue, Airflow, ascend.io or similar.
  • A solid understanding of AWS features and services, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, etc.
  • Experience with queueing technologies such as AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.
  • Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Kinesis.
  • Experience with in-memory caches, Redis, Memcached, etc.
  • Experience modeling and querying NoSQL/document data stores.
  • Experience working with Snowflake.
  • Comfortable with at least one statically typed compiled language such as Java or C#.
  • Have built and deployed containerized applications.
  • Experience building automated testing infrastructure and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with an API documentation tool, Swagger UI, etc.
