Senior Technical Product Manager, Ad Tech

The Senior TPM provides guidance, leadership, and execution of business analysis and related project initiatives for the management of advertising technology systems at Audacy in support of the Revenue Organization. This individual works on multiple, technically complex, mission-critical, and/or high-profile projects and this position requires a blend of project management, business analysis and client/vendor relationship management skills.  The TPM position is an internal business and external client and/or vendor-facing role that supports the entire software development lifecycle for the pitch-to-pay process and associated systems, platforms, and data solutions. 

The anticipated starting salary range for NYC based individuals expressing interest in this position is $140,000-180,000. Ideal location for this position is New York. Philadelphia or remote will also be considered.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

What You'll Do:

• Act as primary POC with all relevant technology vendors (Current and Future).  This includes contract negotiations, problem solving, technical updates, roadmap design and execution.
• Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into documented use cases and requirements. 
• Using Agile methodologies to document requirements in user stories (business capabilities/problems to solve) that include relevant information, functional design and acceptance criteria.
• This may require shadowing users in various roles and diving deeply into how they are using our technology today to help guide Audacy toward a future state where systems are more connected and interoperable.
• Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
• Create system/data process flows and systems diagrams
• Maintain the prioritized product backlog of new business features, as well as maintenance and support items.
• Contribute to the product and data strategy in your focus area.
• Own and drive forward technical product roadmaps, ensuring alignment against business objectives.
• Coordinate as needed on roadmaps and managing tasks with other product teams and integration partners to deliver integrated solutions with cross-team dependencies.
• Facilitate effective meetings with customers and project teams. Develop meeting agendas, minutes, and subsequent communication so that all appropriate parties are informed of decisions, project status and issues.
• Operate successfully in an agile team environment and ensure success of the project by taking ownership of deliverables and performing project management, testing, support, training, or other tasks when needed.
• Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
• Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product.
• Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities. Be responsible for overall product quality, ensuring technical solutions are well supported.
• Assess and address technical risks.
• Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
• Plan, organize and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with documented results.
• Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation. 
• Prepare business-focused application release notes and distribute them to the customer, as needed.
• Communicate regularly with senior management regarding project status, risks and opportunities to improve service levels, or business processes.
• Promote a positive working relationship by maintaining an open and constant communication among the team, management, and customers.

More About You:

Required & Preferred:

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in technical product management or product management roles.
• Bachelor's degree, CS preferred.
• Proven track-record of ownership and delivery of digital products.
• Strong communicator who is able to articulate their point-of-view, engage in fact-based discourse, collaborate, compromise, and bridge gaps across teams and stakeholders at every level.
• Proven experience with project scoping, requirements elicitation in the form of  user stories/epics with acceptance criteria, and product validation.
• Analytical and creative problem solver.
• Experience managing multiple complex products/projects.
• Strong technical background and an ability to hold their own with architects and engineers re API design, systems integrations, data pipelines, reporting etc.
• Proven ability to deliver on commitments partnering with product, engineering and vendor partner teams.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and handling sensitive customer/stakeholder situations.
• Experience in interfacing with end users to provide hands on support of critical applications.
