The AmperWave team is looking for the right person to join our exciting team. At AmperWave, you will be a major contributor on an experienced team. Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, manage, and hire for the DevOps team with and hands-on leadership approach
  • Establish and maintain DevOps strategies for execution and growth of the operation
  • Identify and implement automation strategies in the SDLC process that enables high quality, faster delivery of new solutions to our business users.
  • Participate in vendor software evaluations and integration strategies.
  • Champion our CI/CD agile practices across the team
  • Create and maintain functional / technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
  • Develop infrastructure as code to meet the needs of our platforms.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support of applications support to users including issue resolution.
  • Monitor system and application performance and troubleshoot/ resolve escalated issues.
  • Be part of a high-performing Agile / Continuous Integration engineering practice.
  • Continually seek ways to optimize and improve all operational aspects of our IT solutions.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and integration strategies.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • 2+ years of DevOps management experience
  • 5+ years of Linux admin experience
  • 3+ years of Windows admin experience
  • Strong leadership skills with distributed teams, inspiring and coaching people to help them do the best work; helping people identify opportunities for their own growth, and define plans for achieving measurable goals
  • Deep automation experience – build, test, deployment automation, post release surveillance and monitoring.
  • Must have hands on experience with AWS technical environment: AWS, VPC, EC2, RDS, Cloud Formation, CloudFront, Route53, Auto Scaling, AWS CLI
  • Must have hands on experience with source control - git
  • Experience in automation tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Flux, Helm, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible
  • Experience in scripting languages – Python, PHP, bash
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application performance issues, connectivity and security issues
  • Experience working in a service-oriented architecture both for sourcing and delivering data
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in engineering fault tolerant, high performance, critical business applications
