Overview

Audacy, one of the nation’s most influential audio content and entertainment platforms, is hiring a Senior Vice President to lead our consumer marketing function across the entire business. Reporting to our CMO and with accountability to key business line leaders, this role oversees all consumer-facing brand and content promotion, audience growth and listener loyalty initiatives, and specialized priorities including podcast marketing, app downloads, subscription services and partner marketing. A highly visible, influential role with a significant brand and performance marketing mandate, the SVP will be an Audacy leader, an audio champion and a pivotal player in the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

Responsibilities

The Role

 

Lead…

  • Audacy’s consumer marketing strategy and execution across the entire listener journey, from awareness, to acquisition, to a bonded and loyal fan.
  • An empowered team of cross-discipline and channel-specialist marketers to drive key business results across the entire marketing funnel and through every channel we connect with our audiences.
  • In-house and external consumer marketing creative and production teams to produce a large volume of assets across all marketing activities.

 

Build…

  • Audacy into a first-tier, consumer audio brand across every platform, to every demographic we reach.
  • Inspiring consumer campaigns that differentiate our brand(s), content and talent, and connects them to millions of listeners every day.
  • A world-class audience growth and content marketing engine in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, that fuels the growth of our direct-to-consumer business.
  • Performance and subscription strategies grounded in rigorous test and learn plans to determine the best ways to optimize spend, messaging, creative, and targeting, and to drive scalable results for the business.
  • Exceptional creative and brand acumen into all marketing touchpoints.

 

Analyze…

  • Campaign performance inclusive of in-depth analytics of metrics, ROI, and value to the business.
  • Marketing effectiveness and report on with actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Data-driven attribution methodology and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our channels.
  • Market trends, competitors and tangential businesses to inform forward marketing strategies.

Plan…

  • Audacy’s consumer annual marketing priorities, budget, KPIs, resource and technology needs.
  • Transform current processes to maximize efficiency across resources both internally and externally, as well as introduce best practices on running marketing projects and delivering campaigns.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer to our business lines and executive leadership
  • Collaborate on Audacy’s Martech stack strategy in partnership with our CIO.

Qualifications

The Requirements

 

  • +15 years' of experience leading and working in fast paced consumer marketing teams.
  • Proven expertise across brand building, advertising, performance marketing, subscription marketing.
  • Strong background in consumer goods, entertainment media or consumer tech with leading brands.
  • Natural storyteller with a track-record of developing breakthrough, results-led marketing programs.
  • Creative thinker who can balance brand, business and organizational mandates simultaneously.
  • Digital native with deep digital and social strategy, management and execution prowess.
  • Deep knowledge of campaign management, testing and optimization strategies and execution.
  • Equal knowledge of media planning, buying, and executive-level media negotiations.
  • Ability to create, execute and lead simultaneous, large scale, multi-channel campaigns with focused KPIs.
  • Comfortable navigating a matrixed and complex organization.
  • Understanding of and ability to articulate how marketing drives key business results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a confident presenter and market-facing gravitas.
  • Ability to set and deliver a budget and KPIs manage a budget.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • EQ to establish and maintain relationships with brand and business partners.
  • College degree or MBA, preferably in marketing, communications, or a business discipline.
