Audacy is looking for an innovative, result-oriented and passionate Software Engineer to work on integration and implementation of cutting-edge digital audio/video streaming delivery platform for Audacy. The candidate will be responsible for building high quality code, integrating 3rd party vendor solutions and deploying in AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating effective, high-quality, innovative, scalable products and online service that iterates rapidly. Someone who has experience in some, or all, of the following areas: audio/video Acquisition, Encoding, Packaging, Service Side Ads Insertion and Delivery. Experience with deploying cloud based solutions is a big plus.


The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $130,000 - $140,000 per year; this position is eligible for annual incentive compensation.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with engineering teams on design, integration patterns and drive delivery of scalable end-to-end Audacy's streaming platform and solutions
  • Develop state-of-the art streaming services to maximize technology and business success
  • Build and maintain a positive and productive team culture
  • Deliver high-quality maintainable code
  • Participate in project scoping, resource planning, and timeline estimation
  • Follow agile/continuous integration engineering best practices


About You:




  • 3-5 years of engineering experience with streaming products in relevant field
  • 2-4 years of experience working with Node.js or other JS framework and serverless technologies
  • Direct experience with HLS streaming communication protocol
  • Good grasp of ABR streaming architecture and techniques
  • Understanding of Encoders, Just-In-Time Packaging solutions, Content Distribution Networks (CDNs) and service side ads insertion is a plus
  • Experience with Video/Audio codecs: AAC, MP3 is a plus
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work across environments and juggle many large initiatives with tight timelines
  • Experience with Infrastructure of Code on AWS or other cloud provider preferred
  • Familiar with traditional PM methodologies (e.g., Agile, Kanban, etc.)
  • Understanding of RESTful API patterns
  • BA/BS in Computer Science preferred
